Pilot Killed In Small Plane Crash ID'd As Alexandria Resident, 66
A 66-year-old pilot was killed in a small plane crash in Culpeper County on Friday, May 17, authorities confirmed. The private aircraft went down on the 13000 block of Spillman Road in Culpeper County just before 2:45 p.m., Virginia State Police said. The pilot was identified as Grover McCall Jr., of Alexandria. The FAA and NTSB were notified. The incident remains under investigation.

Small Plane Crashes Near South Jersey Regional Airport: FAA
A single-engine Beechcraft Sierra crashed shortly after departing South Jersey Regional Airport in Lumberton, according to the FAA, The crash occurred at around 5:15 p.m. on Monday, April 22. Only the pilot was on board, the FAA said. The federal agency did not say whether the pilot was injured. The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will investigate. Pilot Unscathed After Virginia Plane Crash
A Michigan pilot miraculously survived a small plane crash in Virginia Tuesday evening, March 12, officials said. Travis M. Berlin, 45, of Parma, MI, made an emergency landing in a field of the 1400 block of Steed Lane in Warren County around 5 p.m., Virginia State Police said. The aircraft landed in a field and struck several trees. Berlin was the only occupant and was not injured. The FAA and NTSB were notified and the incident remains under investigation.
