A man accused of robbing a woman at knifepoint inside a Long Island building has been arrested, police announced on Wednesday, March 4.
Mitchell Taylor, 32, of Holtsville, was charged after the robbery at a building on the 500 block of College Road in Selden at approximately 6:40 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, according to Suffolk County Police.
Taylor allegedly entered the building armed with a knife and approached a 29-year-old woman, demanding her wallet and jacket, authorities said.
The woman complied and Taylor fled the scene. She was not injured during the incident, police said.

A cab driver was carjacked and assaulted in Howell on Friday, Jan. 16, authorities said.
At 11:15 p.m., officers responded to Old Tavern Road after the 46-year-old taxi driver, employed by a company in Asbury Park, said he was slashed in the face with a knife by one of two Hispanic men, who then stole his vehicle, Howell police said.
