State police have released new details on a fiery crash involving an ice cream truck and a tractor-trailer on the New Jersey Turnpike in East Rutherford, Tuesday, Aug 20. Troopers responded at 3:18 p.m. to the northbound western spur at milepost 112.2 in Bergen County, Sgt. Charles Marchan said. Major Backups Reported On Route 80 Through Hackensack
Major backups were reported Thursday, April 17 along Route 80 in Hackensack. As of 11:55 a.m., traffic cameras showed cars piled up in the westbound lanes of the highway at Polifly Road. It was not immediately clear whether or not the congestion was from an earlier rollover crash in the eastbound lanes. A portion of the NJ Turnpike was closed in Mount Laurel Tuesday morning, May 7 due to an overnight accident. A Kenworth tractor-trailer was heading southbound when it lost control, struck a guardrail and overturned at milepost 37 around 3:35 a.m., NJSP Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. A driver was taken to the hospital after an SUV veered off a Hunterdon County roadway and collided with a parked Subaru passenger vehicle on Tuesday night, Dec. 19, state police said. A driver was under the influence of drugs when he crashed his sedan on the New Jersey Turnpike in Bergen County, State Police said.
