Armed Teen Busted For Macy’s Larceny At Green Acres Mall
A reported shoplifting incident at a Long Island mall led to the arrest of an armed teen, police announced on Tuesday, Jan. 27.
Officers responded to Macy’s at Green Acres Mall in Valley Stream at 4:51 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 26, for a larceny in progress, according to detectives. An investigation led to the arrest of Malik Thorpe, 19, of Queens, who was taken into custody without incident.
During the arrest, Thorpe was also found to be in possession of a firearm, police said.
