A routine Connecticut traffic stop over a seatbelt violation quickly spiraled into felony charges for two men, police said.
Jeremiah Montes, 22, and Christian Soriano, 19, were arrested April 2 in Waterbury after officers pulled them over for a traffic violation in the East Main Street and Wall Street area, authorities said.
Waterbury police said they found a Taurus PT111 G2 handgun inside the Nissan, and neither man had a permit to carry it.
